Format as always except Junior and Production Car Championships which have their own pages at the end, being new feature. Many advertisements stand as a proof of economical well-being of the WRC. Text of the book almost solely by Martin Holmes and pictures by Maurice Selden.

Marcus Gronholm - my first five years at Peugeot
Holmes visits Marcus' home farm in Southern Finland and goes through the first five years of Marcus' career at Peugeot, from having only handfull of rallies for 1999 to championship titles in 2000 and 2002, arrival of Richard Burns and internal team politics and farewell to successfull 206WRC after 2003 season.
From Panamericana to Mexico
With Rally Mexico being admitted to the WRC for 2004 season, Holmes tells the story of Mexican rallying history which includes Panamericana - road rally held decades ago and forming a foundation for modern day Rally Mexico.
Black magic
20 questions to Pirelli Motorsport Director Paul Hembery in a feature that could as well be an advert (in a Pirelli sponsored book) but questions are genuine and text well worth reading. Questions cover topics like studs, ban on slick tyres, tyre tread design philosophy and impact of mousse technology has had.
What the engineers think - about their rivals' cars
Seven chief engineers (Vaucard - Citroen, Loriaux - Ford, Moore - Hyundai, Fornaris - Mitsubishi, Nandan - Peugeot, Metrich - Skoda, Lapworth - Subaru) give their opinions about the cars of their rival teams. Unfortunately, seven engineers and six competitors each means 42 opinions in four pages, making their observations very very short. There has been a longer version available in some on-line rally sites.
The virtual codriver
This article introduces reader to Arne Johansson's virtual codriver, a computerized and automated pace-note generation system.
Year of turmoil
A two-page overview in rule changes made in 2003 which at the time did not make much sense. Expansion of the WRC calendar from 14 to 16 events for 2004 season at the time of economical difficulties and departing manufacturers. Switch to two driver teams (down from three) made many qualified drivers unemployed and reduced the show. Single service park system forced sacrifice of classic stages and Mille Pistes -recce scheme proved to be so bad it eventually was abandoned. These changes made people wonder and Holmes can't find rational reasons behind either.
