A change, or rather a departure of sponsor as Audi exits the scene. That does not affect the book itself much, publisher is switched from David Sutton to Van + Van of Holland and advertisements are dropped. Content is virtually unchanged, only World Class Drivers section is moved to back of the book.
Text and majority of the photos are by Martin Holmes. There is slight increase in number of color photos but black-and-white ones are still more numerous.

Did you know what happened in 1986?
Half-page article about some rules and rule changes of 1986 season.
Do you know what is to happen in 1987 and onwards?
Another half-page article about changes that were to take effect in 1987 season.
Snapshots of a scandal
Third short article, a page long in this case, about the scandal which erupted in 1986 San Remo Rally. With seven small pictures, the text explains what happened after the exclusion and perhaps purposefully raises the question as to why rules were so unclear and so much had been left to organisers discretion.
Water photos
Continuation of themed photo series, this time it's eight photos of rally cars and water.
Stig Blomqvist talks about 'Supercars'
Having driven different variants of Audi quattro, Peugeot 205T16 and Ford RS200, Stig Blomqvist was perhaps the most qualified driver say what these supercars were all about. Article is written in Stig's own words and concentrates mostly on his experiences with Audi but towards the end, rules and upcoming Group A rallying are visited too.
Peugeot Talbot Sport - rallying's legend
This article is not a "competition department visit" as in early World Rallying books but rather a history of Peugeot Talbot Sport, charting the early steps with prototype and team structure. Actual competition is covered in anecdotes only and article ends with complete list of all WRC entries of Peugeot 205T16 cars.
