After Ogier went off and lost time, battle for win was between Latvala and Mikkelsen. Norwegian fought well but in the end experienced Latvala had the advantage and won.
Mikkelsen led rally in three separate occasions, initially fighting with Ogier, then with Latvala but his final battle was for second place against Ostberg.
By final day, Ostberg was 40 seconds away from second place - which seemed too much. However, during the day he almost overtook Mikkelsen and without one cancelled stage, might have succeeded.
