Today, Martin and WRC are synonymous. His columns have appeared in numerous magazines around the world, his series of world rally annuals is unequaled documentation and his wealth of knowledge leaves nobody cold.
It is more than likely that he holds the record in WRC event attendancy, having paid visit to just about every WRC event ever held.

No rally driver would win a single rally and no rally team could function without mechanics. They have to fix what drivers smash and work against the clock under intense pressure.
Too numerous to mention by name, inclusion of mechanics to Hall of Fame is a collective, all-inclusive citation.
