Like all Cordoba World Rally Cars, also third and final evolution of the Cordoba was introduced in Rally Finland. Changes were mainly under skin and direct result of Didier Auriol's extensive experience and testing effort. Evolution was again a step in right direction despite fundamental problems of the design and had the team been allowed to carry on with the experience they had so far accumulated... Who knows?
But back to the car. To naked eye changes were small, slightly modified front bumper and redesigned dashboard being just about the only ones. Internally changes had been made to wiring and electronics, introducing new wiring system and upgrading electronics controlling the transmission to newer specification. Weight had been reduced in order to distribute masses better.
