Felicia marked the end of an era when Skoda built rally cars that were intended only to win their class. Developed internally by Skoda and with limited resources, Felicia continued remarkable giant-killing acts of previous car, Favorit. Best result for Felicia was Blomqvist's third place in RAC Rally 1996, a F2-championship only event.
Felicia was produced initially with 1300cc engine which later gave way to bigger, 1500cc powerplant. The final variant used 1600cc engine from VW Polo and sported new six-speed gearbox which later found it's way into Octavia Kit Car too.
