If 205T16 and 206WRC were benchmark rally cars of their respective eras, a lot was expected from 307WRC too. But Peugeot's latest rally car was a disappointment and second evolution did not change the fact much. And with already announced retirement at the end of 2005 season, it is doubtful whether Peugeot engineers worked wholeheartedly any longer.
What was different from previous model? Extra 30mm of width which new rules allowed for sufficiently long cars, different aerodynamics including revised and bigger rear wing and new front bumper to help engine breathing and cooling.
