Ice and Fire

Anna O'Brien sheds light on the two protagonists of the season, Juha Kankkunen (the Ice) and Carlos Sainz (the Fire). After brief background, most of the article revolves around the 1991 season and especially the deciding RAC Rally. Also included on a separate sidebar are various comments from of co-drivers Juha Piironen and Luis Moya.

Maximum Attack

Anna O'Brien interviews the now venerable Markku Alen. Interview covers many topics, from Alen's choice to join Toyota for 1992, the experiences with Subaru in 1991 season, the early years and through to long partnership with Fiat and Lancia with it's various ups and downs. Much of the text is quoted exactly as Markku has said it in his peculiar English, including lots of Alenisms like "absolutely" and "you know".

The Teams

Peter Foubister tells all the essentials of the WRC teams, their cars and drivers in representation panels each covering a full page.
