Toyota started with more moderate speed than Hyundai and that seemed to pay off as Evans (pictured) inherited lead after Tanak hit problems. Rovanpera and Katsuta were going strong too but both retired on final day, Rovanpera with broken suspension and Katsuta rolled on PS. Evans went on to win but as he was only Toyota to finish, team scored little.

Tanak (pictured) started strong and led almost whole first day but developed an oil leak and dropped to third. Team-mate Neuville had multitude of problems ranging from time penalty for gearbox change, jump start on SS5, another time penalty for lateness and several punctures. Eventually, Hyundai outscored Toyota with all three drivers contributing.

McErlean was faster of the M-Sport Fords but he stopped twice on SS7 losing 2,5 minutes and even more time on SS11 with broken suspension. Munster (pictured) was slower but had less problems and finished fifth overall, even winning one stage in the process.
