Many other drivers led and won stages but fell aside with punctures, which in the end netted win for Neuville (pictured) without a single stage win. Team mate Fourmaux had one minute penalty and lost win by 54 seconds, a bitter pill to swallow especially given that penalty was for early check-in to service TC. Sebastien Ogier

Ogier (pictured) started the rally three points behind Evans' for the drivers' title. As Evans suffered from sweeping the road, Ogier had an advantage and drove safely through roads where punctures were aplenty. He himself suffered two of those but survived ahead of Evans and outscored Welshman to secure his ninth record equalling title. Click picture to see larger version in a pop-up window
Martin Sesks

Initially, road sweeping elevated three young stars to the front, leading in turns. Hyundai's Fourmaux, Toyota's Pajari and most surprisingly of all, M-Sport's Sesks (pictured). He drove with gusto and suffered no less than four punctures, last two being double puncture on same stage which led to his ultimate retirement. Click picture to see larger version in a pop-up window
