Though Rallying '78 is not an annual like rest of the Holmes' Rallying-titled books, it still belongs to same series. More of a coffee-table book than anything else, book is filled with pictures, mostly black-and-white but some in color, too.
Text is scarce, consisting mainly of captions on pictures. There are some longer sections at the beginning of each chapter but for example drivers or minor teams are not introduced at all. Glossary is an exception, text is dominant there and gives interesting glimpse to a world of rallying in late 1970's.
Book was probably written in mid-1977 and more fitting name would be Rallying '77. Text is by Martin Holmes, photography by Hugh Bishop.
