Rallycourse 1990
decoration
Like Holmes' World Rallying series, also Rallycourse starts to reach mature age where changes become unnecessary. Single biggest change is that of the editor, Mike Greasley stepping down in favour of David Williams. That is not reflected in the book though at the same time some contributors change too.

Contributors include editor David Williams, Martin Sharp, Amanda Campbell, John Taylor and Paul Evans. Chief photographer Reinhard Klein, others including Martyn Elford, Tony Large, LAT Photographic, Gavin Lodge, Andre Marzoli, John Overton, Photo 4, John Smith and Speedsports Photography.

World Championship Review of the Year

Title says it all, written by David Williams.

The Stock Answer

David Williams reports on group N rallying and it's growing popularity and professionalism. At the time, costs were increasing and Group N did not offer certain progression to bigger cars - hence the question "is it worth the pains" is asked.

Technical Review

Martin Sharp is on his technical review again, on topic of increasing complexity and sophistication. Making intelligent systems that ease driver's life were all the rage, besides the electronic engine control systems that made Toyota competitive.

Still Hungry After All These Years

Profile of and interview with Ford boss Peter Ashcroft by Amanda Campbell. Ford was stepping up their competition programme and veteran manager was happy.

Miracles Take a Little Longer

For some reason an article about Tour of Mull is included, written by David Campbell.

World Champion Profile

David Williams' profile of Carlos Sainz. Perhaps surprisingly this is the first article of Sainz on Rallycourse, so rapid was his rise to the top. David paints a very un-latin picture but one with many other astonishing facets as well.
