Rovanpera bided his time on first half of the opening day when he was first on the road and suffered a bit from that. When stages were repeated, he upped his game, took lead and never let it go again. For second and third days he won every stage, including the Power Stage to claim the maximum score and third win in Estonia in a row. Click picture to see larger version in a pop-up window
Thierry Neuville

Initially Neuville seemed able to fend Rovanpera off as he led for several stages but Finn soon forced his way past. Neuville fought valiantly, losing only second here and another there until a puncture on SS12 widened the gap to over 20 seconds. From then on fight was over. Pierre-Louis Loubet

Ott Tanak received five minute penalty as team was forced to change his faulty engine after shakedown. With that, team-mate Loubet (pictured) was highest placed M-Sport Ford. He fought with Katsuta, losing sixth place to him in penultimate stage but snatching it back in Power Stage with a fine drive. Click picture to see larger version in a pop-up window
