As major leaps are next to impossible to achieve within the FIA regulations, Ford's 2007 version of the successful Focus RS WRC 07 was just a small step ahead.
Changes included a new one-piece exhaust manifold to replace older two-piece version, new rear wing with fewer vertical vanes and a front bumper with increased ground clearance. New gearbox parts were also homologated to be used later. Also, as with all Loriaux-designed cars, weight is again saved here and there.
