| Starting interval | Starting interval of P1 drivers on tarmac rallies is reduced to two minutes minimum (for gravel rallies minimum is still three minutes). |
| Crediting time loss | As previously, in case competitor is delayed by a preceding car, they may have their time compensated later. Rules now clarify that only delays that exceed 10 seconds will be considered, smaller delays are considered competitive loss. |
| Repairs on stage | In case competitor must stop on stage for repairs (including wheel change), such stop must be made on safe spot in order not to endanger safety and safe passage of other competitors. |
| Chicanes | Rules added several clarifications on chicanes.
For organisers, marks and signs for chicanes must be present during recce, merely mentioning those in road book is no longer sufficient.
For competitors, moving a chicane element from it's position will now incur five (5) second penalty per element. |
| Service time reduced | Midday service time (between group of stages) is reduced from 40 minutes to 30 minutes. End of the day service remains at 45 minutes. |
| Mandatory rest hours | Concept of rest hours is introduced. Rally itinerary must include sufficient amount of rest for the crews, at least 10 hours per day and at least one day must have a minimum of 12 hours of rest. Also, total of rest hours must be more than the total of rally competition hours (excluding first day). Definition of what are competition hour and rest hour respectively is roughly time between first and last time controls of the day |
| Reversing during recce | Rules now clarify that crews may not reverse or drive in the opposite direction of the rally on the special stages during recce, except if specified in the supplementary regulations of the rally. |
