Debut of new Ford Focus RS WRC07 was very successful, Gronholm and Hirvonen scored 1-2 for Ford. It was Gronholm's seventh record-breaking win at home.

Subaru had a very mixed rally. Atkinson drove superbly and finished 4th overall, newcomer Pons fared well too and was 6th but Solberg experienced vast handling problems and eventually retired.
