Ogier struggled with road position on first day despite weather being somewhat wet. Next day he made comeback, took lead and in his usual style, also won power stage as well.

Hirvonen's miserable season turned to better but despite being overnight leader after first day, he was unable to keep up with Ogier after that.

Ostberg had relatively good rally even though he quite couldn't pressure leaders and had to settle for third place.

Both Sordo and Neuville scored stage wins with new Hyundai i20 but Sordo had distinction of being the first one. He was later rewarded with a drive in upcoming Rally Argentina.
