Rovanpera took the lead already on the first day regardless of his unfavourable starting position. Kalle posted superb time on Saturday's opening stage and extended his lead throughout the day. On final day it was just question of controlling and surviving, except on final stage where he again won not only the rally but also Power Stage. Daniel Sordo

Sordo made best use of his late road position advantage on the opening day, even leading for one stage. But as Rovanpera forced past him, Daniel and fellow-Hyundai driver Lappi were engaged in closely fought battle over second place. Eventually it was Dani who claimed this position and relegated Lappi to third. Click picture to see larger version in a pop-up window
Ott Tanak

Tanak shouldered more than his share of trouble, suffering front puncture on first day and losing a minute for that. On second day he described car's handling by calling it a wooden horse and also suffered a cracked windscreen. Final day saw him lose hybrid unit although as it miraculously worked for Power Stage, "fault" might have been intentional. Click picture to see larger version in a pop-up window
